Cheese Scones

Delicious cheesy scone.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
280 g all-purpose/plain flour
16 g baking powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
120 g grated tasty cheddar cheese
20 g grated parmesan cheese
85 g grated butter
185 ml cold milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven and baking tray to 220C
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl
    • 280 g flour
    • 16 g baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  3. Add grated butter, mix in with fingers
  4. Mix in grated cheeses
    • 120 g tasty cheddar
    • 20 g parmesan
  5. Mix in 185 ml cold milk with a knife, until it mostly holds together
  6. Turn out onto a floured bench and fold over 2-3 times and pat into a 2 inch high round
  7. Cut into 8 equal sized wedges
  8. Place onto the pre-headed tray
  9. Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes
